Eat right to fuel your activities. Make sure that calories out = calories in with natural foods.
Lisa is a wife and professional working Mama of two with a passion for running, travel and living a healthy lifestyle. She blogs about her adventures at www.runfastmama.com. Her first Half Marathon was the 2012 Flying Pig through Team in Training, in honor of her Mother. At that time, it was a huge challenge to do the distance, and running was put on the back burner for a while. After having a severe reaction to food in Italy, Lisa discovered she was allergic to corn and several other foods. This prompted Lisa to clean up her diet and eliminate all processed foods. She follows a mainly Paleo diet and loves to cook and try new foods for her family. After cleaning up her diet, Lisa found she had more energy and wanted to take on running again. While training for the 2011 Detroit FreePress Marathon Relay, as part of her work team, the focus of the run switched from completing the distance, to running for realaxation and fun! Lisa has not looked back since then and is setting new goals and fitness challenges for herself including the Walt Disney World Goofy Challenge in 2013. She is proud to be a Girls Gone Sporty Ambassador to inspire and be inspired by others, and to share her love of running and clean eating.
