Healthy Living Motto:

Dream big! You can achieve anything if you are willing to put in the work and be dedicated to what you are passionate about. If you fall, you need to get back up and try again. Sometimes it takes a couple of tries to reach your goal, but don't ever give up.

Bio:

Tasha MalcolmTasha became a Girls Gone Sporty Ambassador in September of 2012. Tasha is a native of the Oregon Coast, but has lived in Spokane, WA for the last 10 years. During the day she is an Assistant Physician Recruiter for Rockwood Clinic and a wife to Mr. Healthy Diva and a mom to her two King Charles Spaniels, Tia & Maisy.

Tasha’s driving passion in life has been running. Her favorite distance is the half marathon where she has completed 14 races since 2008. She recently ran a 16 minute marathon PR at the California International Marathon in December 2011. She has set her sights on attempting to one day break 3 hours in the marathon. When Tasha isn’t running she likes to keep her fitness up by completing spinning workouts and using her kettlebells to build strength.

Tasha started her blog “Healthy Diva” in January of 2011 to chronicle her journey to becoming a more fit and healthy person. She took a nine month running hiatus after finishing the Boston Marathon in April 2010. The result ended up in an unwanted 20 pound weight gain.  What started as a blog to share healthy recipes and fitness inspiration turned into a running journal that has allowed Tasha to connect with other talented female runners. In January 2011 she went from running one 11 minute mile to running a Boston Qualifier marathon and her marathon PR 11 months later. In the eleven months since committing herself to a healthier lifestyle, Tasha lost 36.4 lbs and 30 inches off of her frame.

In Tasha’s spare time she likes to check things off of her Pinterest boards. She loves being crafty whether it is making a new dress, running skirt, knitting a scarf or playing photographer. She also enjoys spending time in her kitchen and experimenting with new dinner recipes and perfecting her cupcakes. She didn’t get the nickname “cupcake” for nothing. She also loves to travel to new places with her husband - it is always a double bonus when she can turn her vacation into a “race-cation”!
