Sweet studio spotlight: Cycle House

Spinning charity and fitness together

Cycle House

GirlsGoneSporty wants to provide you with the latest, greatest fitness experiences, and we're super-pumped to provide you with insight into some of the hottest gyms and workouts around. It's not just the workouts themselves that are so important, though. It's the culture of health, fitness and improvement that we're so keen on advancing. That's why we're thrilled to spotlight the Cycle House spin studio. Check out what they're doing and why you should take part if you can!

Who: Cycle House

Where: 624 La Cienega, West Hollywood, CA

What: 45-minute spin classes that incorporate weight training and stretching

Why they're so special:

  1. Cycle House has partnered up with Feeding America, a non-profit group dedicated to fighting hunger here at home. Every class you take at Cycle House translates to two meals for someone in need. That's pretty cool to think about - you're blasting all those extra calories, and someone who is hungry gets to take those calories in!
  2. Cycle House is also dedicated to keeping their carbon footprint low. They do this by maintaining a completely paperless environment and offering water from an alkaline water filtration system rather than selling plastic water bottles.
  3. The workout is great! You can burn up to 1,250 calories per hour through the combination of high-intensity cycling, weight training and stretching.
  4. You can book a class and reserve a bike online so you don't have to worry about waiting in line or missing out once you get to the studio.
