St. Patty's Day Review: Cynthia Sylvia Stout Shampoo

Fun St. Patrick's Day Find

LUSH Handmade Cosmetics Cynthia Sylvia Stout Shampoo

There's nothing I love more than a super fun, small gift that can be given for a holiday, and when I was introduced to LUSH Fresh Handmade Cosmetic's Cynthia Sylvia Stout shampoo, I thought, "Aha! The perfect St. Patrick's Day gift idea." This little bottle of shampoo is actually made from organic stout beer, cognac and lemon - nothing else! It smells just like the ingredients it's made of, which makes it the perfect pre-party warm-up to all the St. Patrick's Day beer drinking festivities.

Aside from the fact that the shampoo is fun for St. Patrick's Day, it's actually just an excellent shampoo all around. Beer is a popular hair rinse, known for adding shine and "weight" to hair to help keep it from frizzing; but, instead of pouring an actual beer on your head, you can drink your beer while sudsing up with a beer-based shampoo! I tried my Cynthia Sylvia Stout for the first time this week, and while the alcohol smell is a little overpowering when you first put it on your hair, it quickly melts into a nice lemony scent. I went and asked my husband if I smelled like alcohol, and he said, "Not really, but even if you did, what would be wrong with that?" I love my husband!

I'm also happy to announce that my hair seemed softer, shinier and less prone to frizz-flyaways after using the product, so for all you fellow frizz-monsters out there, you might really benefit from giving your hair a drink!

Anyway, since tomorrow is St. Patrick's Day, I figured I'd share my new favorite shampoo with all of you! Pick up your own at LUSH Handmade Cosmetics. They have three different sizes ranging from $9.95 to $29.95.
