Ode to green

Green heart

Green inside, outside, upside down. Green is the color of life. Green is a fuel for life. Green is a way of life.  It’s easy to be inspired by greeness! Hooray for the color of spring!

Green nourishes us. From collard greens to seaweed, I love them all. They are truly one of Mother Nature’s gifts for us to enjoy. Greens spring out of the ground and reach up to the sky, offering a contagious and uplifting, energy. Put these on your plate and this energy will be easily assimilated into your body. The nutritional benefits of greens are endless and the saying “if you’re green inside you’re clean inside” is one of my personal mantras. Greens are beyond doubt one of the cornerstones of good health.

Tamara Jacobi surrounded in greenGreen is my inspiration. I run through tunnels of green on my morning trail run. I do yoga beneath a canopy of green. I whiz past hills of green on my road bike. I paddle board alongside a glowing green coastline. I am always anxious to see the green that awaits me around the next bend in the road of life. Green life surrounds me in a comforting embrace, a reassurance that I am never alone; there is life all around me. I am empowered by green life, reminded of the magic and potential of life. Yet, at the same time I find calm and tranquility in green, reminded of the need to be present and get slow.

Green is a model of sustainable life. Green flora projects a silent, harmonious energy that flows gracefully and synergistically through nature’s cycles. I endeavor to emulate this rhythm in my own life. Green gives me the essence of human life—pure, clean oxygen and I marvel at how I am naturally able to give CO2 in return!  What a beautiful symbiotic relationship! Wherever I go, I hope to live in harmony with the life around me. I know that I impact the place in which I live, but I also try to give back, perpetuating the cycle of life.

I am the jungle girl and I love green. But Kermit the frog is right! It’s not easy being green! We must all make an effort to embrace the simple philosophies of green. Let me support you with adding some green to your life!
